65daysofstatic

They’ve toured with The Cure but 65daysofstatic are probably a band not many of you will have heard of, and until about a year ago neither had I. I’ve only recently found a love for their radio-unfriendly instrumental style and was lucky enough to be able to see them in lovely Brighton a few weeks ago.

Concorde 2 on the sea front was the perfect ‘cosy’ venue for 65 and right at the front, the band did not disappoint. Despite drunken requests from the audience the band stayed super-cool and played superbly. Radio Protector, my personal favourite ignited the audience and thankfully there was only a small ‘mosh pit’ in the crowd. One of the tightest bands I’ve seen play in a long time, the music consumes you just as much live as it does when you’re  listening full blast at home. Brilliant.

Where Am I?
