The Royal Wedding

November 29, 2010 § 3 Comments

It’s so lovely to hear some good and exciting news for a change and this came a few weeks ago when Prince William made the long-awaited announcement of his engagement to Kate Middleton.

During a holiday to Kenya the Prince proposed to Kate with the absolutely stunning saphire ring worn by his late mother Princess Diana.

Clarence House have announced that the wedding will be held on Friday 29 April at Westminster Abbey, so I hope everyone will be penciling this into their diary and tuning in or even lining the streets of London to watch the proceedings.

I’ll be keeping up to date on Royal Announcements made and further preparations on the big day, and most importantly one THE DRESS! As if choosing your wedding dress isn’t hard enough, Kate has to choose one if the most talked about dresses of 2011.

Vogue have already set the odds for the lucky designer. With the likes of British designers Alice Temperley, Bruce Oldfield and Julien Macdonald in the running, it’s going to be a stunner.Excited.

It’s good to see that by virtue of being born into a rich family, this guy’s wedding is much more important than anything of truly newsworthy.

I think its lovely to hear about a Royal wedding, brings back traditions. Better than all the usual celebrity gossip 🙂

Interested in your comment about the ring. I (and several friends agree with me) would have been horrified if I had been asked to wear a ring which to me symbolises a deeply unhappy and dysfunctional former marriage. It is a beautiful ring, but I would have liked a nice NEW one!
